BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) is a joint venture between Reliance Infrastructure and the Government of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, with the majority stake (51%) held by Reliance Infrastructure
BRPL supplies reliable power across an area of ~ 700 sq. km, serving a consumer density of about 4,454 per sq km. The company has around 30 lakh consumers and caters to more than 1.2 crore residents in 23 divisions across the South and West areas of Delhi. These areas include Alaknanda, Dwarka, Hauz Khas, Jaffarpur, Janak Puri, Khanpur, Mundka, Najafgarh, Nangloi, Nehru Place, New Friends Colony, Nizamuddin, Palam, Punjabi Bagh, R.K. Puram, Saket, Chhattarpur, Sarita Vihar, Tagore Garden, Vasant Kunj, Vikas Puri, Uttam Nagar, and Mohan Garden.
Since privatization, the Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses in our distribution area have significantly declined are in single digits now. From a high of 51.50% in 2002, the AT&C losses have been reduced to a remarkable 6.61% in the FY 2023-24, a decrease of around 45%.The following operational statistics given an overall view of the strength of BRPL distribution network:
